Information about domain names in .directory

The ".directory" top-level domain is designed specifically for websites that serve as directories, lists, or indexes of information. This extension clearly signals to internet users that the site helps organize and provide access to specific categories, businesses, or services.

It is especially suitable for organizations, companies, or individuals who want to create online directories, such as local business listings, hobby group indexes, or specialized service databases. The ".directory" extension makes the website’s purpose immediately understandable to visitors.

One of its main advantages is improved searchability: users and search engines can instantly recognize the site's focus. It also offers branding opportunities, as relevant and memorable domain names are often still available with this newer extension.
