Information about domain names in .mg

The .mg top-level domain (TLD) is the country code extension for Madagascar. It is managed by NIC-MG and is primarily intended for individuals, organizations, and businesses with a connection to Madagascar.

This extension is ideal for local companies wanting to emphasize their Malagasy identity, as well as international brands aiming to establish a presence in Madagascar. Universities and government institutions in Madagascar also use specific second-level domains under .mg, like .edu.mg and .gov.mg.

Using a .mg domain helps build trust with the Malagasy audience and shows a commitment to serving the local market. It’s also less competitive than generic TLDs, offering more chances to secure your preferred domain name.
